Common Issues

Encountering a problem? Here are solutions to some common issues users might face on Streamline Feed.

Account & Login

  • Forgot Password: If you signed up with email and forgot your password, use the "Forgot Password" link on the Sign In page to initiate a password reset process via email.
  • Didn't Receive Confirmation Email: If you signed up with email and didn't get the confirmation link, please check your spam or junk folder. If it's not there, try signing up again, ensuring your email address is correct. If the problem persists, contact support.
  • GitHub Login Issues: Ensure you have authorized Streamline Feed in your GitHub account settings. If you revoked access, try signing in with GitHub again to re-authorize. Check if you are logged into the correct GitHub account.

Content Creation & Management

  • Cannot Create Article/Topic/Business: Ensure you are logged in. Check if you have filled all required fields in the form (marked with validation messages if missed). Ensure your content meets minimum length requirements (e.g., title length, content length).
  • Image Upload Failed: Check your internet connection. Ensure the image file is in a supported format (e.g., JPG, PNG, WEBP) and not excessively large. Try uploading a different image to see if the issue is specific to one file.
  • Article/Business Not Appearing After Submission: Some content, like new business listings, may require administrator approval before becoming public. Please allow some time for review. If you saved an article as a draft, it won't appear publicly until you edit it and check the "Publish" box.
  • Cannot Edit/Delete Content: Ensure you are logged in as the original author of the content. You can only manage content you created yourself, typically accessible via your profile page tabs ("My Articles", "My Businesses", "My Discussions").

General Issues

  • Page Not Loading Correctly: Try refreshing the page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R). Clear your browser's cache and cookies. Try accessing the site in a different browser or in incognito/private mode to rule out browser extension conflicts.
  • Search Not Finding Expected Results: Try using different keywords. Remember that search is currently basic keyword matching. Check for typos in your query.
