Adding a Business

You can add your own business or a business you represent to the Streamline Feed Directory. This helps users discover your services and products.

Accessing the Add Business Form

To add a business, you must be logged in. Navigate to the main Business Directory page. You will find an "Add Business" button near the top right. Clicking this button will take you to the business creation form at /directory/create.

Filling Out the Form

The form asks for comprehensive details about the business. Provide as much accurate information as possible. Key fields include:

• Business Name: (Required) The official name of the business.
• Description: (Required) A detailed description of the business, its services, or products.
• Short Description: (Optional) A brief summary for previews.
• Category: (Required) Select the most relevant category from the dropdown list.
• Location: (Required) The general area or neighborhood where the business is located (e.g., "Westlands, Nairobi").
• Address: (Optional) The specific street address.
• City: (Optional) The city.
• Phone: (Optional) The primary contact phone number.
• Email: (Optional) The primary contact email address.
• Website: (Optional) The business's official website URL.
• Logo: (Optional) Upload the business's logo image.
• Featured Image: (Optional) Upload a high-quality image to represent the business.
• Social Media Links: (Optional) URLs for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn profiles.
• Operating Hours: (Optional) Specify the opening hours for each day of the week.

Submitting the Listing

Once you have filled out the form:

• Click the "Create Business" button at the bottom right.
• If there are any validation errors (e.g., missing required fields), messages will appear indicating what needs correction.
• Upon successful submission, your listing will first undergo an automated AI verification process. This helps ensure the quality and legitimacy of listings.
• You will see a confirmation message indicating the outcome of the AI verification (e.g., "Business created and approved," or "Business submitted for review.").
• If not automatically approved by AI, your submitted business listing will then require manual approval from platform administrators before it becomes publicly visible in the directory.

You can manage your submitted business listings from your profile page (under the "My Businesses" tab).
