Creating an Account

Welcome to Streamline Feed! Creating an account allows you to participate fully in the platform, including creating articles, joining discussions, and managing your profile. You can sign up using your email address or your GitHub account.

Sign up with Email

  1. Navigate to the Sign Up page.
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    • Full Name: Enter your full name (must be at least 2 characters).
    • Email: Enter a valid email address.
    • Password: Choose a secure password (must be at least 6 characters).
  3. Click the "Sign up with Email" button.
  4. Check your email inbox for a confirmation message. Click the link in the email to verify your account.
  5. Once verified, you can sign in to your new account.

Sign up with GitHub

  1. Navigate to the Sign Up page.
  2. Click the "Sign up with GitHub" button.
  3. You will be redirected to GitHub to authorize the application.
  4. If you are not already logged into GitHub, you will be prompted to log in.
  5. Review the permissions requested and click "Authorize".
  6. You will be redirected back to the Streamline Feed platform and automatically signed in.

Forgot Your Password?

If you've forgotten your password for an email-based account, you can easily reset it:

  1. Navigate to the Sign In page.
  2. Click on the "Forgot your password?" link.
  3. You will be taken to the Forgot Password page. Enter the email address associated with your account.
  4. Click the "Send Reset Link" button.
  5. Check your email inbox for a message containing a password reset link.
  6. Click the link in the email. You will be redirected to a page where you can enter and confirm your new password.
  7. Once you've set your new password, you can sign in with your email and the new password.

Note: The forgot password feature is only applicable to accounts created via email and password. If you signed up using GitHub, you would need to manage your password through GitHub.
