Search Filters

After performing a search, you can filter the results to focus on specific types of content.

Filtering by Content Type

The main way to filter search results is by using the tabs located above the results list on the Search Results Page:

  • All Tab: Shows a mix of top results from all content types (News, Businesses, Forums). This is the default view.
  • News Tab: Displays only news articles that match your search query.
  • Businesses Tab: Displays only business listings that match your search query.
  • Forums Tab: Displays only forum topics that match your search query.

Clicking on a specific tab (e.g., "News") will refresh the results area below to show only items of that type. The count of results for each type is shown in parentheses on the tab label.

Other Filtering Options

Currently, the search results page does not offer additional filtering options such as:

  • Filtering by category within search results (e.g., showing only "Technology" news articles matching your query).
  • Filtering by date range.
  • Sorting results by relevance, date, or other criteria.

To find content within a specific category, it's often best to navigate to that section first (e.g., the News or Directory page) and use the category filters available there before searching, or browse the categories directly.
