Reading Articles
The News section is where you can find the latest articles published on Streamline Feed. Here's how to navigate and read them:
Accessing the News Section
You can access the main news feed by clicking the "News" link in the main header navigation, or by visiting /news directly.
Browsing Articles
The news page displays articles in a grid format. You can browse articles in a few ways:
- All Articles: By default, the page shows all published articles, sorted by the most recently published.
- Filtering by Category: Above the article grid, you'll find a list of categories (e.g., "Technology", "Business", "Sports"). Clicking a category name will filter the grid to show only articles belonging to that category. The "All" tab will always show articles from every category.
Understanding Article Cards
Each article in the grid is presented as a card, providing a quick preview:
- Featured Image: If an article has a featured image, it will be displayed prominently at the top of the card.
- Category Badge: The article's category is often shown as a badge overlaid on the image or near the title.
- Title: The main headline of the article. Clicking the title takes you to the full article page.
- Excerpt: A short summary or the beginning of the article content.
- Author: The name of the user who published the article.
- Date: The date the article was published.
Reading the Full Article
To read the complete content of an article, simply click on its title or featured image on the article card. This will navigate you to the dedicated page for that specific article (e.g., /news/your-article-slug
).
The full article page typically includes:
- Breadcrumbs: Navigation links at the top allowing you to go back to the main News page or the article's category.
- Article Header:
- Category Badge (if applicable).
- Article Title.
- Article Excerpt/Subheading.
- Author Information: Includes the author's avatar, name, and the date the article was published.
- Edit Button: If you are the author of the article, you will see an "Edit Article" button here.
- Featured Image: The main image associated with the article, displayed prominently.
- Article Content: The main body of the article.
- Related Articles: A section at the bottom suggesting other articles from the same category that you might find interesting.
