Timothy Donald Cook (born 1 November 1960) is an American business executive who has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Apple Inc. since 2011. He joined Apple in 1998 as Senior Vice President for Worldwide Operations, where he was credited with restructuring the company's supply chain and manufacturing operations, playing a crucial role in Apple's resurgence under Steve Jobs. He was named CEO shortly before Jobs' death. Under Cook's leadership, Apple has grown to become the world's most valuable company, crossing the $3 trillion market cap milestone. He has overseen the launch of key products like the Apple Watch, AirPods, and the Vision Pro, while significantly expanding Apple's services business (Apple Music, TV+, iCloud). He is also a prominent advocate for privacy rights, environmental sustainability, and LGBTQ+ equality.
