Cole Jermaine Palmer (born 6 May 2002) is an English professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Chelsea and the England national team. Known as "Cold Palmer" for his icy celebration and composure under pressure, he was the breakout star of the 2023/24 season. After a shock £42.5m move from Manchester City on deadline day, he scored 22 Premier League goals in his debut Chelsea season, winning the Premier League Young Player of the Season. Palmer's rise was meteoric. He went from a fringe player at City to arguably the best player in the league at Chelsea within 8 months. He scored the equalizing goal for England in the Euro 2024 final against Spain. By 2026, he was the undisputed creative hub of Chelsea and a starter for England. He is a penalty specialist, having scored his first 9 penalties for Chelsea without missing. His playing style is languid yet lethal, often compared to Dennis Bergkamp for his vision and technique.
