William Kabogo Gitau is a former two-term Governor of Kiambu County (2013–2022) and former Member of Parliament (Juja). He was nominated as Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication and Digital Economy in January 2025 and disclosed assets worth KSh3.01 billion during vetting. He is credited with digitizing Kiambu's revenue system as governor.
