Satya Narayana Nadella (born 19 August 1967) is an Indian-American business executive who serves as the Executive Chairman and CEO of Microsoft. He succeeded Steve Ballmer in 2014. Nadella is credited with transforming Microsoft's culture ("from know-it-alls to learn-it-alls") and shifting its strategic focus towards cloud computing (Azure) and artificial intelligence, moving away from a pure reliance on the Windows operating system. Under his leadership, Microsoft regained its status as the world's most valuable company. He oversaw major acquisitions including LinkedIn, GitHub, and Activision Blizzard. His swift investment in OpenAI positioned Microsoft as a leader in the generative AI revolution.
