Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa (born 10 August 2005), known as Pragg, is an Indian chess grandmaster and a global superstar. He became an International Master at age 10 (the youngest at the time) and a Grandmaster at 12. He gained worldwide fame for defeating Magnus Carlsen multiple times in online rapid tournaments. In 2023, he reached the final of the FIDE World Cup, qualifying for the Candidates Tournament alongside his compatriot Gukesh. Pragg is known for his calm demeanor, deep preparation (often coached by Ramesh RB), and being accompanied by his mother to all tournaments. He received the Arjuna Award from the President of India.
