Victor James Osimhen (born 29 December 1998) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Galatasaray (on loan from Napoli) and the Nigeria national team. Known for his elite athleticism, aerial prowess, and iconic protective face mask, he led Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years in 2023, winning the Capocannoniere (top scorer). His career took a dramatic turn in late 2024. After a failed deadline-day transfer to Chelsea and Al-Ahli due to Napoli's uncompromising demands, he was exiled from the Napoli squad. In a shock move, he joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on loan for the 2024/25 season. By January 2026, he was the subject of a fierce bidding war between Chelsea and PSG for a permanent transfer. He is the reigning African Footballer of the Year (2023).
