Sheikh Mohammed Khalifa is a veteran Kenyan Muslim cleric based in Mombasa and the long-serving National Organising Secretary of the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK). In that capacity he is a frequent public voice on social order, elections, and youth issues, urging peace and restraint during tense periods and engaging authorities on morality and public ethics. Independent profiles and Kenyan media document his CIPK leadership and regular interventions in national debates. During the 2010 constitutional review, Khalifa was among Muslim leaders who publicly defended the inclusion of Kadhi courts after a High Court ruling that sought to exclude them; he appeared at Nairobi briefings alongside SUPKEM and other bodies to urge support for the new charter. Over the years he has also spoken out on religious tolerance, civic protests, and education content affecting Muslims.
