Judith Suminwa Tuluka is the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, appointed in April 2024. She is the first woman to hold this position in the nation's history. An economist and expert in governance, she previously served as the Minister of Planning. Her appointment by President Tshisekedi was seen as a move to technocratic governance amidst the escalating conflict in the East. Before entering government, she worked for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and in civil society. Her premiership focuses on implementing the president's "six commitments," including job creation, security, and infrastructure development.
