Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon (born 10 January 1994 in Nakuru County) is a Kenyan middle- and long-distance runner. She began running barefoot at school and won the junior world cross-country titles in 2011 and 2013. She won Olympic 1500 m gold in 2016 and 2020 and achieved a third consecutive Olympic victory in 2024. She holds world records in the 1500 m and mile and previously held the 5000 m record after a remarkable 2023 season, and completed a 1500 m/5000 m double at the 2023 World Championships. She lowered her own 1500 m world record at the Paris Diamond League in 2024.
