Catherine Nanjala Wambilianga is the Woman Representative for Bungoma County, serving her second term after being re-elected in 2022. She is a staunch member of FORD-Kenya and a loyal ally of National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula. Before politics, she was a fierce trade unionist with the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT). In parliament, she serves on the Education Committee and the Committee on Selection. She is known for her advocacy for teachers' welfare and the girl-child education in Bungoma. She successfully lobbied for the increase of NGAAF funds to support widows in the county.
