Salah Yakub Farah is the outspoken Member of Parliament for Fafi Constituency, elected in 2022 on a UDA ticket. He gained national attention early in his term for proposing the removal of presidential term limits, a suggestion that was quickly disowned by the UDA party leadership. A teacher by profession, he previously served as the County Executive for Environment in Nairobi County under Governor Mike Sonko. In parliament, he is a member of the Departmental Committee on Administration and Internal Security. He is a vocal advocate for the rights of residents near the Boni Forest and has frequently called for enhanced security operations against Al-Shabaab. He has also pushed for affirmative action in teacher recruitment for the North Eastern region.
