June Ruto is a Kenyan diplomat and the second-born daughter of President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto. She currently serves as Kenya’s Chargé d’Affaires in Warsaw, Poland, the senior-most diplomat representing the country in the absence of an ambassador. June entered the public spotlight in 2019 when Foreign Affairs CS Monica Juma shared official photos of her welcoming a Kenyan delegation to Poland—marking her emergence as one of Kenya’s rising foreign-service officers. Before her posting in Warsaw, she worked as Second Counsel at the Kenyan Embassy in Rome, gaining experience in multilateral and European diplomatic engagement. A career diplomat since 2014, June has cultivated expertise in international relations, economic diplomacy and diaspora affairs. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Diplomacy from USIU–Africa and later pursued international relations at the University of Queensland in Australia, strengthening her grounding in global policy and strategic studies. Beyond her public role, she is known for maintaining a largely private lifestyle. In May 2021, she married Dr. Alexander Ezenagu, a Nigerian law academic specialising in international tax and trade.
