Alisson Ramses Becker (born 2 October 1992) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Liverpool and the Brazil national team. He is a pioneer of the "sweeper-keeper" role, known for his distribution, 1v1 ability, and calmness. His transfer to Liverpool in 2018 (then a world record for a keeper) was the final piece of the puzzle for Jürgen Klopp's trophy-winning side. Alisson is the only goalkeeper in Liverpool history to score a competitive goal (a 95th-minute header vs West Brom in 2021). By 2026, despite rejecting massive offers from the Saudi Pro League in 2024 and 2025, he remained at Anfield, though recurring hamstring injuries began to limit his playing time. He is a devout Christian and serves as a WHO Goodwill Ambassador.
