Gov’t to Involve All Kenyans in War on Corruption – Felix Koskei
NANDI COUNTY – May 18
Chief of Staff Felix Koskei has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to intensifying the fight against corruption by involving every Kenyan in the process. Speaking at a church function in Nandi County, Koskei emphasized that corruption cannot be eradicated by institutions alone, and urged citizens to reject bribery and unethical practices in their daily lives.
“The government is determined to win this war, but we can only succeed if every Kenyan refuses to give or receive bribes,” Koskei said.
Strengthening Anti-Corruption Institutions
Koskei noted that the government is actively working to strengthen oversight institutions to ensure they have the capacity and independence to tackle corruption effectively in both public and private sectors.
“We are currently assessing the progress of our anti-corruption efforts and will not hesitate to take bold actions to protect public resources,” he added.
Citizens as Key Partners
He called on religious organizations, civil society, youth, and community leaders to support the anti-corruption agenda by promoting transparency, reporting unethical behavior, and fostering a culture of accountability.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Koskei reiterated that President William Ruto’s administration is pursuing a zero-tolerance policy on graft, and assured that individuals found guilty of corruption—regardless of their status—will face the full force of the law.
