The gloves are off. Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, once the golden boy of the Kenya Kwanza regime, has publicly explained his estrangement from President William Ruto, citing a government obsessed with public relations at the expense of reality.

In an explosive interview on Citizen TV, Nyoro did not hold back. "We promised the hustlers dignity, but we are giving them slogans," he said. "You cannot eat PR. You cannot pay school fees with a hashtag. The administration has lost touch with the village."

The Ideological Break

Nyoro, who chairs the Budget and Appropriations Committee, criticized the government’s borrowing spree, arguing it contradicts the "living within our means" philosophy they campaigned on. His dissent is significant; he is widely seen as a potential successor to the presidency, and his rebellion signals a fracture in the Mountain’s support base.
