Moses Kuria declares support for President Ruto’s 2027 bid as a strategic move to position himself for the presidency in 2032, revealing his long-term game plan.

Former CS Moses Kuria has dropped a political bombshell: he is backing President Ruto’s 2027 re-election not out of loyalty, but as a stepping stone for his own presidential bid in 2032.
Speaking to reporters, the ever-controversial Kuria described his relationship with the President as transactional. "I resigned because I needed freedom to build my own machine," he said. "But Ruto must finish his two terms. I will help him cross the river so that I can take the baton on the other side."
Kuria’s admission peels back the curtain on the post-Ruto succession planning already underway. By positioning himself as a loyalist outside the tent, he avoids the baggage of incumbency while keeping his foot in the door. "I am not a sycophant," he declared. "I am a strategist."
