EPRA lowers fuel prices by Sh2, offering minor relief to motorists and signaling a stabilizing economy driven by a stronger shilling.
It is a small win, but Kenyans will take it. EPRA has announced a drop in fuel prices for the next month, with Super Petrol coming down by Sh2.00 to retail at Sh182.52 in Nairobi. Diesel and Kerosene have also seen marginal reductions.
The regulator cited the strengthening shilling and lower landed costs as the drivers for the reduction. While motorists had hoped for a bigger cut, the move reverses the upward trend of the last quarter, offering a glimmer of hope that the cost of living crisis may be easing, albeit slowly.
