Tennis star Angella Okutoyi receives a Sh5 million sponsorship to fund her quest for the 2028 Olympics, aiming to make history for Kenya.
Kenya’s tennis sensation Angella Okutoyi is one step closer to Los Angeles 2028. The Wimbledon junior champion has secured a Sh5 million sponsorship deal from a local bank to fund her international tour and training.
Okutoyi, currently ranked in the WTA top 400, aims to become the first Kenyan to qualify for the Olympic tennis tournament. "The talent is there, but tennis is expensive," she said at the unveiling. "This support allows me to focus on the court, not the bills." The funds will cover her participation in ITF circuit tournaments across Europe and North Africa.
