The latest forecast from the Kenya Meteorological Department indicates a distinct weather divide. For farmers in the breadbasket regions of Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia, and Nakuru, the rains come as a mixed blessing—potentially aiding late-season crops but disrupting harvest preparations. The department has urged residents in landslide-prone areas to remain vigilant, although the overall intensity is expected to be moderate

The forecast explicitly highlights the following counties as the epicenter of the wet spell:

• Lake Victoria Basin: Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, and Migori.
