Murang’a County Commissioner Joshua Nkanatha has issued a strong warning to local politicians against misleading the public or inciting opposition to government development projects, emphasizing that such actions undermine efforts to improve livelihoods and could destabilize the region.
Murang'a, Kenya – Murang’a County Commissioner Joshua Nkanatha issued a stern caution to politicians, urging them to refrain from misleading residents and inciting opposition against government-led development projects. Speaking during the Madaraka Day celebrations held at Ihura Grounds, Nkanatha emphasized that actively opposing beneficial initiatives, such as the affordable housing program and ongoing healthcare reforms, could potentially destabilize the region and hinder progress.
He delivered a strong warning that no leader should engage in activities that incite Kenyans to reject programs specifically designed to improve their livelihoods and overall well-being. The commissioner also took the opportunity to applaud the diligent efforts of local security agencies in cracking down on drug traffickers and other criminal elements. He urged the public to actively collaborate by reporting any drug-related crimes and suspicious activities. Furthermore, Nkanatha spoke out firmly against gender-based violence, promising that perpetrators would face the full force of the law and called upon communities to provide unwavering support to victims and cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies.
