Moses Kuria attacks DP Gachagua for "tribalizing" national schools, defending the quota system as essential for national unity in a sharp rebuke of the Deputy President.

Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has launched a stinging attack on Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of trying to turn National Schools into "village polytechnics" with his demand for regional student quotas.
In a statement on X, Kuria defended the current placement system, arguing that National Schools like Alliance and Mang'u are the "last bastion of national unity." He shared his own experience of studying in day schools in Gatundu, noting that he only met people from other tribes at university—a delay in integration he called "unhealthy."
Kuria did not pull punches. He mocked Gachagua’s claim of ownership over Alliance High, stating, "He thinks he has a right to speak for Alliance simply because he supplied milk there as a D.O. in the 90s."
