Intel has open-sourced its Intel AI Assistant Builder, a toolkit available on GitHub that provides templates and guides for developing custom conversational AI agents and chat assistants for enterprise applications.
Intel has unveiled the Intel AI Assistant Builder, a new open-source toolkit designed to help developers build customizable AI chat assistants that integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems. Released publicly on GitHub, the framework offers pre-built components, workflow templates, and integration guides to streamline the creation of intelligent agents capable of interacting with company data and APIs.
The toolkit is designed to bridge Large Language Models (LLMs) with enterprise infrastructure, guiding developers through critical processes such as connecting to databases, crafting dynamic conversation flows, and embedding assistants into widely used enterprise software platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Microsoft 365.
By open-sourcing the project, Intel aims to democratize AI assistant development and speed up adoption across industries. The company envisions widespread enterprise use cases, including HR query handling, IT service desk automation, internal knowledge retrieval, and workflow orchestration, all powered by customizable AI agents tailored to specific organizational needs.
“AI assistants have the potential to radically improve internal efficiency and user experience,” Intel noted in its release. “By making these tools open-source, we’re empowering developers and businesses to create tailored AI solutions on their terms.”
The Intel AI Assistant Builder joins a growing trend of major tech firms offering open-source or low-code solutions for enterprise AI, as companies seek faster, more adaptable ways to deploy intelligent automation across departments.
