The Uganda Railways Corporation (URC) is a monumental, state-owned enterprise mandated to develop, manage, and operate the entirety of Uganda’s rail and marine transport infrastructure. Established originally within the East African Railways system, URC serves as the absolute strategic backbone of the nation’s multi-modal logistics, connecting the landlocked Ugandan economy to the deep-water ports of Mombasa and Dar es Salaam.
