Sergey Mikhailovich Brin (born 21 August 1973) is an American business magnate and computer scientist who co-founded Google with Larry Page. Born in the Soviet Union, he immigrated to the US at age six. At Google, he focused on special projects, including Google X (now X Development), which developed Google Glass and Waymo (self-driving cars). Brin served as President of Alphabet Inc. until 2019. Like Page, he remains a controlling shareholder. In recent years, he has returned to active coding at Google to help develop its AI capabilities (Gemini) in response to the rise of ChatGPT.
