Dorothy Muthoni Ikiara is a prominent Kenyan politician, educator, and trade unionist who serves as a Nominated Member of the National Assembly. Born on August 16, 1968, Ikiara’s educational foundation began at Gitoro Primary School, where she studied from 1966 to 1972 and earned her Certificate of Primary Education. She subsequently attended St. Mary's Girls' Igoji in Meru, completing her East African Certificate of Education in 1976. Driven by a passion for the classroom, she pursued teacher training at St. Lawrence Teachers Training College, graduating as a P1 teacher in 1980.
