The victim, identified as Cliff Macharia, perished in the blaze at his aunt's home on Wednesday night. The incident has left the community grappling with questions about home safety and the management of mental health patients in rural settings.

Family members revealed that Macharia had been battling mental health challenges and had spent time in the hospital for stabilization. He was released into the care of his aunt to ensure he adhered to his medication regimen in a calm environment.
