TUC issues a 7-day ultimatum to the Nigerian government to pay striking health workers, threatening a nationwide shutdown if demands are not met.

Nigeria’s health sector is facing a shutdown. The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to withdraw its "no work, no pay" order against striking health workers or face a nationwide industrial action.
The TUC termed the government’s stance "draconian and illegal," arguing that workers were striking over legitimate unpaid arrears. "You cannot starve people into submission," the union president warned. If the threat is carried out, hospitals across the country could go dark next week.
