Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o issues a stern warning to his CECs to fast-track development projects and deliver tangible results or face the sack.

Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o has issued a stern ultimatum to his County Executive Committee Members (CECs): Deliver tangible results immediately or prepare to vacate office.
In a tense cabinet meeting that insiders describe as "explosive," the Governor tore into his senior officials, accusing some departments of lethargy and bureaucratic inertia. Nyong’o, known for his academic rigor and no-nonsense management style, made it clear that the grace period for the current financial year is over. He is demanding the immediate implementation of flagship projects outlined in his manifesto.
"The people of Kisumu eat development, not paperwork," Nyong’o is reported to have told the executives. The Governor is particularly agitated by delays in key sectors, including health infrastructure and urban planning. He has instituted a strict performance monitoring framework, warning that future contract renewals will be tethered directly to the "tangible" metrics achieved in this quarter.
Sources at Prosperity House suggest a cabinet reshuffle could be in the offing if the performance indicators do not improve by the next quarterly review. For the CECs, the message is unambiguous: The Professor is grading papers, and failure is not an option.
