Over 100 Bomet Youths Graduate from Empowerment Programme

Bomet, May 18

More than 100 young people from Bomet County have successfully graduated from a personal development and empowerment programme facilitated by the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) in collaboration with the Bomet County Government.

The graduation ceremony marked the culmination of a transformative training initiative designed to equip youth with leadership skills, confidence, and the tools needed to actively engage in community development projects.

According to officials from the IYF, the programme focused on personal discipline, mindset change, leadership development, and practical life skills aimed at empowering youth to become agents of change within their communities.

 

“We are proud to see these young people take this bold step towards personal growth and public service,” said an IYF representative during the event. “Our goal is to prepare youth not just for jobs, but to lead and inspire in their neighborhoods and beyond.”

 

County Government Applauds Initiative

The Bomet County Government commended the initiative, reaffirming its commitment to supporting youth-focused programmes that promote self-reliance, civic responsibility, and leadership.

 

“This partnership with IYF is part of our broader strategy to invest in our youth and secure the future of our county,” said a county official. “These graduates are now equipped to lead change in their communities.”

 

Youth Encouraged to Take Up Leadership Roles

Graduates were urged to use the skills gained to pursue opportunities in public service, entrepreneurship, and volunteerism. Many of the participants expressed gratitude for the mentorship and personal growth they experienced during the programme.
