ODM Mourns Governor Simba Arati’s Sister, Isabella Arati

Isinya, Kajiado County – The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has confirmed the passing of Isabella Arati, sister to Kisii Governor and ODM Deputy Party Leader Simba Arati. The party announced her burial would take place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the family farm in Isinya, Kajiado County, adjacent to the Entarakwet Hotel. 

Party Sends Condolences and Support

On Saturday, August 9, ODM Chairman Paul Momanyi Kabos and youth leader Hezbon Mochama led a delegation to Arati’s family to offer their condolences. In a social media post, Mochama wrote:

“Today the Kisii team, led by ODM Chairman Paul Momanyi Kabos, visited the family of HE Simba Arati, who lost his sister Robina. The late will be laid to rest tomorrow in Kiseriani. Pole Sana Governor.”

Notably, the party’s public statement did not reveal the cause or timing of her death.

Burial and Presence of Party Leaders

The burial took place as scheduled, with attending party officials present to pay their respects. ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna also visited, stating:

“Joining the family of my brother Simba Arati to celebrate the life of his sister Isabella as they lay her to rest in Isinya, Kajiado County.”

The governor has yet to make a personal public statement regarding the loss.
