Similarly, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is currently in the process of integrating sophisticated AI technologies to improve both the efficiency and security of its operations at critical border control points. As reported on May 9, 2025, KRA plans include using AI to more effectively manage its advanced scanning systems for cargo, which is expected to expedite clearance processes while simultaneously enhancing the detection of illicit goods and contraband.
