Planned events will include peaceful marches, candlelight vigils, and coordinated digital campaigns under trending hashtags such as #Justice4OurMashujaa and #NeverForgetKE. Participants are being encouraged to wear black and carry flowers—symbolic acts of mourning for those who lost their lives during last year’s protests.

In Nairobi, protesters will gather at the Kenyatta Avenue Roundabout before marching through the central business district toward Parliament and the President’s office. Similar processions are expected in Kisumu, Mombasa, Machakos, and other major towns, turning June 25 into a nationwide call for justice, dignity, and accountability.

Authorities have acknowledged receiving formal notifications of the protests and have confirmed security deploymentsacross key locations. Nairobi Regional Police Commander George Seda assured the public that officers would be focused on protecting lives and property, while maintaining public order.
