Family in Muhara village left traumatized after CCTV captures three women desecrating kin’s grave in chilling night raid.

Residents of Muhara village in Gatundu South have been left reeling in shock and superstitious terror after a bizarre incident that has all the hallmarks of a dark ritual. In a scene straight out of a horror movie, a family woke up to find their loved one's final resting place desecrated, the cross uprooted and planted in a clay pot filled with disturbing items.
The incident, which occurred under the cover of darkness two nights ago, targets the grave of Beatrice, a local woman who passed away in 2024. This marks the second time in less than a year that her grave has been violated, raising fears that the family is being targeted by a persistent and malevolent force. The discovery has sent ripples of panic through Kiambu County, a region where modern life often intersects with deep-seated traditional beliefs about the afterlife.
The discovery was made by the deceased's husband, Kuria, who stepped out of his house in the morning to a traumatizing sight. The wooden cross, which should have been standing guard over his wife's remains, had been carried from the gravesite and placed prominently at the entrance of his home. It was stuck inside a strange black pot.
Upon closer inspection, the contents of the pot revealed a sinister intent. "Inside the pot, we found innerwear and baby clothes, all of them dirty and soiled," a shaken family member told the press. "We do not know where these clothes came from or what they signify, but it is clear that whoever did this meant to send a message of evil."
For Kuria, the incident is a reopening of a wound that has barely begun to heal. "My wife Beatrice suffered a long illness before she died," he lamented, tears welling in his eyes. "I do not understand why someone keeps disturbing her sleep. Why take the cross? Why bring these dirty things to my door? It is torture."
The use of personal items like underwear and baby clothes in alleged witchcraft paraphernalia is often associated with attempts to "bind" a family's fertility or future prosperity. As the investigation continues, the people of Muhara are locking their doors earlier than usual, praying that the dark cloud hanging over the Kuria homestead does not drift their way.
