US lawmakers have released haunting new images from inside the late financier's Caribbean compound, intensifying pressure for full disclosure of his crimes.

New images released by US lawmakers offer a chilling glimpse into the private world of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, years after his death. The photos and videos provide a rare tour of his secretive estate on Little St. James island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The release is a calculated move to ensure the sprawling case and its victims are not forgotten. It aims to apply public pressure on the American justice department ahead of a December 19 deadline to release government files related to the investigation.
The materials, captured in 2020 by law enforcement authorities in the U.S. Virgin Islands, walk through the opulent property that some locals had nicknamed "pedophile island". The images showcase luxurious bedrooms, a library, and sprawling seaside grounds.
More disturbing elements are also visible. One photo shows a room with a dentist's chair and strange masks hanging on the wall. Another captures a chalkboard with the words "deception" and "power" scrawled across it, offering a grim insight into the compound's atmosphere.
The renewed focus on the island recalls the significant legal battles following Epstein's 2019 death in jail. His estate reached a settlement of over $100 million (approx. KES 12.9 billion) with the U.S. Virgin Islands government. The authorities had alleged that dozens of young women and children were trafficked, assaulted, and held captive on the island.
A bipartisan group of Congress members is now demanding a status update from the U.S. Attorney General, Pam Bondi, pushing for maximum transparency. The effort is championed by figures like Representative Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the House oversight committee.
"These new images are a disturbing look into the world of Jeffrey Epstein and his island," Garcia noted in a public statement. "We are releasing these photos and videos to ensure public transparency... We won’t stop fighting until we deliver justice for the survivors."
While the images themselves do not reveal new crimes, they serve as a powerful public reminder that for many, the Epstein saga is far from over, with the quest for full accountability continuing unabated.
