The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has announced a significant recruitment drive for 93 investigation officers, aiming to bolster its capacity in the national fight against corruption and economic crime.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has initiated a major recruitment exercise, inviting applications for 93 investigation officer positions across various departments. The announcement, made on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, underscores the Commission's commitment to strengthening its mandate of combating corruption and economic crime in Kenya.
EACC Chief Executive Officer, Abdi Ahmed Mohamud, urged eligible Kenyans to submit their applications online through the EACC website by Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 5:00 PM EAT. He emphasised that the new recruits would be instrumental in law enforcement, public education, and promoting integrity and ethical standards nationwide.
The advertised vacancies span a wide range of specialised fields, reflecting the multifaceted nature of corruption investigations. The Commission is seeking assistant directors and senior investigation officers with expertise in electrical engineering, quantity surveying, and legal affairs.
Additionally, the EACC is recruiting investigation officers with backgrounds in accounting, auditing, banking, and policing. Critical roles for reports analysts, digital forensic analysts, and cybersecurity engineers have also been advertised, alongside positions in Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) and records management assistant departments.
Established under Section 3(1) of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2011, pursuant to Article 79 of the Kenyan Constitution, the EACC is the primary body tasked with combating and preventing corruption, economic crime, and unethical conduct. Its mandate encompasses law enforcement, preventive measures, public education, and the promotion of integrity and ethical standards.
Abdi Ahmed Mohamud assumed the role of EACC Chief Executive Officer in January 2025, succeeding Twalib Mbarak. Prior to this appointment, Mohamud served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of Investigations at the EACC, bringing over three decades of experience in corruption and economic crimes investigation.
Prospective candidates are required to complete EACC Form 1 online via the Commission's recruitment portal, jobs.integrity.go.ke. Applicants must attach copies of their national identification card, curriculum vitae, academic and professional certificates, and testimonials. Detailed job descriptions and specific requirements for each position are available on the official EACC website, www.eacc.go.ke.
All applications must be submitted online, and successful submissions will be acknowledged via email. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews. The EACC is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity, inclusion, and gender equity, and encourages qualified candidates, including persons with disabilities, to apply.
The recruitment drive is expected to significantly impact the EACC's operational capacity, particularly in light of recent legislative changes such as the Conflict of Interest Bill signed into law in July 2025. This new legislation expanded the EACC's mandate to cover the Legislature and Judiciary, granting broader powers in wealth declaration and conflict of interest management. The successful integration of these new officers will be crucial in the Commission's ongoing efforts to safeguard public resources and enhance accountability across all levels of government.
