Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi is assaulted by an armed Turkish national in Kilifi, triggering a police probe and outrage from the Council of Governors.

A tranquil evening in Kilifi turned into a scene from an action movie when Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi was physically assaulted by an armed foreign national in a shocking road rage incident. The altercation has sparked a security scare and demands for the foreigner's immediate deportation.
The incident occurred along the Malindi-Mombasa highway. Police reports indicate that the Governor’s convoy was obstructed by a Toyota Prado driven by a Turkish national. When the Governor’s security detail attempted to clear the road, the situation escalated. The foreigner, allegedly brandishing a firearm, exited his vehicle and punched the Governor, who had stepped out to intervene.
"It was a moment of madness," said an eyewitness. "The man had no respect for the siren or the flag. He attacked a state officer in broad daylight." The Governor’s bodyguards, showing remarkable restraint, subdued the attacker without firing a shot, handing him over to Kilifi police.
The suspect is currently being held at Kilifi Police Station, facing charges of assault and creating a disturbance. However, questions are being raised about his firearm license and immigration status. "We want to know who authorized a foreigner to carry a gun and terrorize Kenyans," demanded the Council of Governors in a furious statement.
