Arsenal expect winger Noni Madueke to be sidelined for six to eight weeks after suffering a knee injury in their recent 1–1 draw with Manchester City. Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the injury was not believed to be an ACL tear.
Madueke was substituted at halftime after feeling pain in his knee during the first half of the match.
Arteta said scans are pending and described the injury as “not too bad,” suggesting that while the absence will be felt, the club is hopeful for a full recovery.
Reports suggest the player will likely sit out key fixtures, including parts of Arsenal’s Premier League, Carabao Cup, and possibly Champions League campaigns.
Madueke’s absence compounds an already stretched attacking lineup: Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus are also unavailable due to injuries.
The team will need to lean on depth options and potentially adjust tactics to compensate for the lack of width and pace in attack.
The timing is critical: the next few weeks include pivotal matches in domestic and continental competitions.
