ACAPS is recruiting an Information Analyst to support CrisisInSight by producing timely analysis of humanitarian crises in the Middle East and Northern Africa. Working closely with the analysis team, the analyst conducts research on political, economic, social and humanitarian developments; designs and writes analytical reports; supports data-collection and reporting systems; and builds a network of key informants. Additional duties include analysing quantitative and qualitative data for tools such as the INFORM Severity Index, reviewing historical event data, producing thematic reports, improving ACAPS methodologies, supporting data collectors, representing ACAPS at meetings and disseminating analysis via social media. Qualifications: master’s degree in a relevant field; at least three years’ research or information-management experience in the humanitarian sector; strong writing skills; fluency in English (additional languages welcome).
