WUSC is hiring a consultant to analyze and strengthen Business Development Services (BDS) for the childcare sector in Kenya and Malawi. The consultant will map the current BDS ecosystem, identify gaps in support for childcare enterprises (especially women-led businesses), and develop capacity-building frameworks to improve access to finance and services. This role involves conducting research and stakeholder consultations, then providing strategic recommendations to enhance BDS providers’ ability to support childcare businesses. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in SME development, gender-responsive programming, and ecosystem analysis, with at least 7 years in relevant projects and a postgraduate degree in a related field.
