The Ministry of Energy is recruiting a Senior Superintending Engineer (Mechanical) to oversee technical aspects of Kenya’s power generation projects. In this role, you will review Environmental Impact Assessment reports, monitor and evaluate ongoing power generation projects, and develop technical specifications for project procurements. You will also contribute to energy policy formulation, participate in tariff studies and least-cost power planning, and help set technical standards in collaboration with KEBS. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, registration as a Professional Engineer (Engineers Board of Kenya) with a valid practicing license, and at least 5 years of relevant experience (including 3 years at the Assistant Engineer I level or equivalent in public service).
